Im not surprised that Tanya chose something so normal. Thats basically her quirky trait, being the normal inside a group of crazies.

Please dont throw me to the pit.

"The Art of War"? Seriously? How normie of you, Darcy. Which one? The one atributed to Sun Tzu and that is pure obvious remarks one after another (and that THAT was treated as "great advice" tells us a lot, nd not good, about what passsed for generals in 5th century BC China)? Or the one written by Machiavelly, in which h states that a paid army is inferior and that guns and cannons are just useless novelties? Or the one written by a suppossed descenfant of Sun Tzu's 300 years later, and whicg is even more obvieties-laden than its predecesor's the gem being "the one who does not know the art of war will be defeated")? The 19th cent. treatise by Antoine-Henri Jomini, whose salient point is that is used in West Point to STILL teach Napoleonic infantry squares (quoting Carl von Clausewitz, "he maintained himself and his reputation primarily through prose")? Or the 20th century compilation of Mao Zedong rambling about how good he was?

I TRULY hope she means the 2012 graphic novel by Kelly Roman and Michael DeWeese. It's the only "Art of War" worth reading.

Calling out strangers on liking Art of War is your thing, huh? Not judging, we all have a thing. Just feelin' like you've had this monologue before.

I can respect it, to be honest. A lot of old books are loved for being old rather than the actual contents.
That said, this guy knows what he's on about, I feel.

whats the pit look like
Guest 28th Apr 2020, 1:22 PM edit delete reply
It's covered in dildos so you think you can climb out, but they're all lubed up squishy ones so when you try to grab them you fall back down. The pit is a dick hole for dicks
Guest 29th Apr 2020, 5:14 AM edit delete reply
Wait, it’s full of lubed dildos?
I don’t get it, where is the punishment?

Or a crazy, rich friend with guards and a pit.

Just our of curiousity, is some pages disapearing/getting replaced, or am I going insane?
If I am not insane, then why?

Black Hole pages are uploaded to the main Ennui GO! page only for one day. After that they're removed. They can always be found on the Black Hole page though.

In Darcy's defense, you didn't ask "favorite novel?", you asked "favorite book?"

And in Izzy's defense, a comic book is, in point of fact, a book.

Quite frankly, you deserve the pit.

Guest 1st May 2020, 7:03 PM edit delete reply
so king lear, a play, doesn't get criticized, but a book on military strategy and a trade book do?

Honestly, they deserve the pit.
